Well, I've had this phone for about a week now, and it is without a doubt the best phone I have ever owned. Having come from owning, a w300i, it was a joy to see much better features compared to that now awful and outdated clamsell. Firstly, the camera is a real joy to use. 2MP is enought for very good looking pictures, with good detail, and good colours. The light is also very handy, which doubles up as a flash for the camera. The Walkman player is also very easy and user friendly. Just hit the W key on the left side of the phone, and you are instantly presented with a very clear menu. Theres the Now Playing section, then Artists, Tracks, Playlists, and then finally Videos. Overall the phone responds very quickly, and it handles multiple applications very well. Messaging is very easy to use, as is everything on this lovely sexy device. It looks great in white, with the black version looking a tad plasticy and cheap. Highly recommended!

I have just got the white W810i after a lifetime of nokias. Looks-wise its lovely - small but not too fiddly. I wanted white so I could find it in my bag easily, and I think the white looks smart - everyone's got black phones these days.
Wanted a phone that deals with music as well, so I don't have to carry my mp3 player around. The music sound is full and clear and the headphones are really comfortable. The mic's built in so you can answer your phone while listening to tunes.
The phone sets itself up, so you can go straight into customising ring tones etc. The menus are easy to use, buttons press nicely. Initially I found texting different compared to nokias - but soon got the hang of it. It has numpty text and T9 (predictive) - both are easy to switch between.
I mainly use my phone for calls and texts, but this does all the web stuff, photos etc should you want it. I usually upgrade my phone every year but I think I'm going to keep this and change to a PAYG tariff. Never thought I'd switch from a nokia but this is just so much better and easier to use.

Great as a phone, good as a camera, terrible as a Walkman.
My W810i gives off a loud hissing noise as soon as I play as song. You should always expect some hiss from a music player, but this is dreadful. Worst of all, the hiss is at a consistent volume so when you play a song at it's lowest volume setting the hiss is louder then the music. It also makes distortion noises between tracks. Seriously, my 80's Matsui tape player sounded better then this does. I googled the problem and there are plenty of other people out there who have it so this is a phone to avoid. Also the lowest volume setting is quite loud compared with other players I've used. It's a shame because the phone itself is great, easy to use and nice looking. But only buy it if you never plan to use the Walkman feature!

I bought the w810i recently and knew it would be a great phone. Sony Ericsson are great for their batteries as they seem to last for ages.
The w810i standby time is said to be about 16 days - ofcourse this wouldn't happen as Im sure you will make calls, send texts etc. So really I would say on average you will need to charge it up every 5-7 days.
The talktime is an amazing 8 hours from fully charged, ideal for businessmen who use their phones a lot.
The torch is really powerful and will easily light up a room when pitch black. Handy if you should every need light.
Has all the usual stuff like bluetooth, music player, camera, video, etc.
Brilliant phone and would recommend to anyone. However, Im not keeping it as I have just ordered the w880i as it looks great and is really thin.
I will leave a review for the w880i when I receive it so have a read if your interested!
