"looks much better with the pale blue cover!" 2003-12-12
By whoopwopwhip (Scotland)
Postives-

small & light
functional (organizer function is useful for reminding for important appointments)
connectivity (although ive never used anything apart from Infrared between the phone and laptops)
Quality of speaker (easily adjusted volume)
Ease of use due to joystick
Looks (ok its an older phone but still looks good)
Battery Life (around 2 weeks on average standby with intermittent use)
Games - are actually quite decent I thought
Phone books ability to store more than mobile number
Tough - dropped it several times, also managed somehow to displace a button out of place in my pocket (due to keys in pocket but quality of phone) half twisted key simply clicked back into place and works fine
Intelligent T3 predictive text - actually works
Large memory - 1mb I think
Negatives-

lack of ringtones-look on the net for free ringtones, difficult to find and few in number+quality
lack of sms alert options - either silent or a beep
sms can get a little funny of me, refuses to scroll down to a certain letter
colour screen - outdated looking compared to new phones but doesnt make a huge difference

Overall a high quality phone but dont be paying too much as its "outdated" (minus polyphonic ringtones and a sharper colour screen its outdated otherwise its only outdated cause its been out for so long)

 "T68i what a phone" 2003-11-03
By Mr. Daniel J. Histed (England)
When looking to upgrade from my Nokia 3310, I wanted to get the most up-to-date model I could afford. The T68i was my choice, and it was quite a good one.

GOOD POINTS:
1) Looks Fantastic
2) Extremely Light
3) Easy to navigate menu with 5-way joystick
4) Full colour screen
5) Can have great accessories attatched, including MP3 player, FM/AM radio and digital camera
6) Has bluetooth/infra-red capabilities

BAD POINTS:
1) Ringtones are monophonic, not polyphonic as stated
2) Camera produces blurry pictures
3) Quite difficult to navigate if you've had a standard Nokia
4) Unimaginative games
5) Difficult to find places to get free ringtones

 "T68i" 2003-10-26
By Stephen Banks
Before I had the Sony Ericsson T68i, I was stuck with my old Nokia 3310. A few weeks ago, I got bored of it, and bought this phone. I love it! It's the best phone I've ever had. It's quite well built and very light, so much so I nearly dropped my 3310 when I picked it up again because it was so heavy!
The colour screen is clear, even in sunlight, and you can fiddle around with the contrast and backlight settings. The keypad is blue when illuminated and looks very cool indeed.
There are a few things wrong with it though. One is the fact that the joystick takes a lot of getting used to and that the software is very slow on my phone. The menus take far too long to load up.
Bluetooth is a really good thing for Sony Ericsson to include, although the phone does lack a camera. You can buy the communicam for 50 quid here at amazon, but on the Orange site, it's more like 100.

All in all, this is one of the best and most up to date phones on the market today, for a very affordable price, however could be improved. If you've got the money try the Nokia 3650, Nokia 7650, Nokia 7210 or Panasonic GD87. Alternativly, wait for one of the new "3G" phones, but they could cost a little more (around £500)

This phis the greatest of all time, it has all the features, polyphonic ringtones gprs, colour screen, games, optional camera and many many more all for this great price. You can personalise your friends number so when they call a special picture pops up. It can vibrate aswell. A great deal, a steal at this price.
